Magic touch to our courses??

Post by carl gibbs on Fri Sep 27, 2013 1:54 pm

I got made redundant from the army on the 18th June. Since that day I did not have a single call on my phone for work. A few advertising companies and a couple of enquiries but no work. I was at the point of throwing in the towel, but the missus nagged me to keep at it. So I did.
I did a 2 day advanced mortice course with Jay as part of my resettlement training form the Army. 9 days after finishing the course and my phone has not stopped.
An MPL change, a euro change, a mortice fit form scratch, a yale dig lock fit that could turn into a much bigger job, 4 locksouts and 2 mortice locks to do on Monday.
I think Jays courses are not only great and informative, but they must have some kind of magic pull on them!!

Nice on Carl. Pleasure to have you on the 4 Day and the 2 Day Advanced Course Smile

It's easy to get to a point (in any business) where you just want to jack it all in, but sometimes sticking with it and putting in that extra mile pays off?

Carl, stick at it. Can take a couple of years for all your marketing to fall into place.

Just spent the evening picking 4 different ERA fortress locks. All done left and right mounted, and think it's getting easy now.

I got an icl curtain pick which jay ripped apart and rebuilt for me with his own wires.
He taught the cork screw technique which eradicates the need for a pre lifter. It's defo working. Just need to get my hands on some other good locks now.

Nice one Carl, as Jay and the others say the mantra is practice practice, and the phone will ring, sure you will get the quiet period and then there are not enough hours in the day!.

I really like seeing the 'good news' stories from the guys on here.

That is some good information from you guys, i would really love to learn a lot from you. I haven't been in luck with calls for jobs on our neighborhood, since the competition is high.

Had one last night mate. Was an ERA euro on front and back doors. Hour later and I still can't open it.
When bloke next door got home I had to ask for a leg up to the window.
Still NDE though!!!!!!
